Update as of 6/30/2020: We ran our first virtual Baseline In-Person training June 9-11, with 37 new hires and folks transitioning to new roles. We called this pilot BaselineLIVE to avoid confusion. Training focused on Year Up culture and functional training for Program and Development new hires, with instructional time running for ~4.5 hours each day, and additional optional community building activities. Overall, the pilot was a success, with a quality rating of 4.6/5, facilitators rating of 4.8/5 and value to onboarding rating of 4.5/5. For more detailed results of our pilot, please review our 2020 BaselineLIVE Pilot Report. For the pilot, we de-coupled new manager training, which was traditionally held on the third day of Baseline In-Person. We’re currently planning for new manager training later this year. More to come soon.
Update as of 7/09/2020: At this multil-day training event, new hires around the country will join virtually to solidify learning, practice skills, and begin building your internal network. While typically completed within the first 2 months on the job, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to adapt. We will schedule training on an as needed basis through end of 2020. Thank you for your patience and flexibility
We apologize to the new hires who have been unable to experience this important component of onboarding in a timely manner. We appreciate your flexibility as we adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, and we look forward to working with you soon. Please reach out to HRhelp@yearup.org if we can be of service in the meantime.
