External Professional Development Opportunities
We know that there are a lot of different options out there for leadership development programs and workshops. We encourage you to get involved with those leadership development activities that make the most sense to you considering your career stage and the specific leadership skills you are working to develop.
The following is a list of external offerings that are well-established and/or have been vetted and recommended as quality leadership development opportunities for Year Up staff
Higher Education Leadership Development Options
Many graduate schools run leadership development certificate programs. Below are a few examples, but since most grad school programs are based locally, we encourage you to research schools in your local area to find out about leadership certifications near you. Please let Megan Doherty-Baker know if you find a program that you would like to share with other Year Up employees in your local area as we will update this list on an on-going basis.
